DIG-NRTC |
The Microsolve real time clock,
uses the latest Flash CMOS microprocessor technology
with crystal control for timing operation. This
makes the unit reliable and compact and simple
to use with a long battery life exceeding 3 years
with no power. |
|
All inputs to the timer are active
when taken to ground, so that connections to proximity
switches and mechanical switches is simple. This
also allows proximity switches to work off other
voltages above 12V DC to interface to the real
time clock. This method of input detection lends
itself immune to electrical noise, since noise
generated by electrical devices switching on or
off always create positive going spikes. Input
protection against spurious spikes and noise has
been eliminated by field proven design. The Seconds
input resets the seconds to zero the moment a
contact is made, ensuring perfect timing. The
hours and minutes are then set after zeroing the
clock. |
|
Timing during power failure does
not degrade the crystal frequency, making the
unit immune to power dips and power failures.
The unit is suitable for production lines or operating
theatres where accurate timing is critical. |
